Our Umbrella Photography Lighting Kit with 45W 5500K Bulb for Studio is the piece we hand over when a room has to turn into a set in one go. The columns go up to 33in, so the top edge sits above the subject rather than in the frame.
The build runs to aluminium alloy, which keeps the weight sensible without giving up on the joints. You also get a heavy-duty build and a carry case. Specifications here are read straight off our own listing — no rounding, no best case.
Key features
- 45W Full Spectrum Bulb. Each CFL bulb delivers 2500 lumen of bright, energy-efficient continuous output lighting. The 5500K daylight balance ensures true-to-life color accuracy. Plus, flicker-free design ensures smooth video lighting without banding.
- Shoot Through & Reflective Umbrella. The white translucent umbrella acts as a light diffuser, delivering soft lighting that flatters skin tones and reduces harsh shadows. Meanwhile, the black & silver photo umbrella creates striking highlights and dimensional contrast.
- Support Essentials. This photography kit is equipped with two full-size light stands (33"-83") and one compact stand (16"-33"), crafted from durable aluminum alloy. With 180° adjustable lamp holders, it allows effortless positioning of your studio lighting.
- Versatile Umbrella Light. Designed for content creators, it delivers reliable key light for video recording, portrait sessions, product shoots, advertising campaigns, podcasts, filming and live streaming. A dependable photography lighting solution for any studio equipment setup.

Where it sits in the range
Shoot-through and reflective EMART umbrellas, translucent white and black-silver, sold as single heads and as full studio sets with the light stands photography needs.
The job it does
An umbrella is the fastest soft light there is: it opens in a second, mounts on the stand with one turn of a knob and folds back to the length of a forearm. For portraits, weddings and anything where people move, that speed is worth more than the extra control a box would give you.
Sizing it against your photography backdrop stand
Size is a room problem before it is a shopping problem. Take the wall you shoot against, measure across it and subtract a foot at each end for the legs — the rest is what the frame can accommodate once it is open. Then decide height, because that is the figure people change their mind about the moment the subject stands up: seven feet suits seated work, full-length needs the sections fully expanded so the top edge of a white, black, green or seamless muslin surface never appears. Leave space between the subject and the surface too; stood directly against it, a face picks up every mark behind it. A small room rewards a little extra span, which is where an additional panel or a prop goes. In general, choosing one size up is the cheaper mistake.
Getting it standing
Setup, in order: extend each telescopic section, lock the adjustable collar, then square the base. The mounting fitting is standard, so heads and clamps from other stands assemble onto it without an adaptor, and it all happens quickly with two hands. A wide base is what keeps the support system stable when somebody walks behind the subject. Position two legs under the load, keep the third foot clear of the walkway, and hang anything heavy low rather than at full height.
Hanging it and holding it steady
The crossbar carries the hang, the hooks spread it and a spring clamp secures the corners. Keep two spare clamps in the kit: one ends up on a light, one on a tripod tube, and neither is worth needing and not having.
Travel, bag and care
Transport is the test most of this kit fails. Folded it is compact, the carry bag swallows the collapsible frame and the small extra parts, and the whole package carries on one shoulder. The quality worth paying for is boring: metal collars that still grip, a design with no part that only works while new. Aluminum keeps a pro kit portable, heavier metal makes it durable, and durability on gear like this is an argument about joints. We would rather sound dull than claim an excellent finish. Keep it dry and the care budget is a cloth. Grit in a joint wears a section faster than rain does; a rolled surface arrives without a wrinkle, a folded one arrives with a map of itself.
