The job it does
Shooting through a white umbrella gives broad light that wraps a subject; bouncing out of a black-backed one is more directional and keeps spill off the background. Most crews carry both and decide in the room, which is why the kits are packed as sets rather than single pieces.
What size EMART backdrop stand this suits
Choosing the size is arithmetic rather than taste. Measure the wall across, subtract roughly a foot at each end for the legs and the fittings, and you have the span the frame has to accommodate when it is fully open. Height comes next, and it is the figure that changes once a subject stands: a seated portrait is happy at seven feet, a standing one wants everything expanded so the top edge of a muslin, seamless white, black or green surface stays above the shot. Getting it standing
Assembly is quick and standard. Pull each telescopic section up by hand, lock the adjustable collar, square the base. Stability comes from the base rather than the column: spread the legs fully, position the feet out of the walkway, and it sits stable on a floor that is not quite flat. Anything heavy hanging on the system wants weight at the feet as well.
Clamps, hooks and the top edge
The crossbar carries the hang, the hooks spread it and a spring clamp secures the corners. Keep two spare clamps in the kit: one ends up on a light, one on a tripod tube, and neither is worth needing and not having.

Aluminium alloy keeps the weight sensible; the metal that decides durability sits in the locks and the joints, not the finish. This is an ENTIRE kit with everything you need to make green screen videos. The softbox light is very high quality and useful for any shoot. The carrying case fits everything without having to strain to fit it all in. I highly recommend this setup, it's a GREAT value for the price.

For the money, this is a great starter kit for the aspiring photographer on a budget. Certainly not studio quality, but what you get for the price is pretty amazing. Decent quality overall and perfectly useable. A great value.
