We designed this one around the part of the job nobody photographs: the half hour before the first frame.
We build it in aluminium alloy because gear that lives in a car boot gets handled badly. The build includes a portable format. We keep one listing per size so you are never guessing which box arrives.
Key features
- Soft Light. Working as a shoot-through light diffuser, this photography umbrella creates flattering, soft lighting. It removes harsh shadows on your subject and background while smoothing skin tones for portrait photography.
- Balanced Illumination. The white umbrella softens both flash and continuous light to produce even, low contrast illumination. It delivers seamless highlight-to-shadow transitions and renders neutral color temperature for true-to-life reproduction.
- Durable Material. As reliable studio equipment, lightweight aluminum alloy ribs of this reflective umbrella bend repeatedly without deformation. Premium nylon fabric stands up to frequent use and resists tearing.
- Portability for Any Shoot. Each photo umbrella folds down to 27 inches for easy storage. It keeps your photography lighting kit compact and portable between shoots. Setup takes seconds with no tools required.
- Wide Application. Suitable for all studio strobes, the 33-inch flash umbrella offers ample coverage across portrait and product shoots. It also works well for video recording, live streaming, filming, and podcasting, making it a practical choice for umbrella lights photography.

Where it sits in the range
Shoot-through and reflective EMART umbrellas, translucent white and black-silver, sold as single heads and as full studio sets with the light stands photography needs.
The job it does
An umbrella is the fastest soft light there is: it opens in a second, mounts on the stand with one turn of a knob and folds back to the length of a forearm. For portraits, weddings and anything where people move, that speed is worth more than the extra control a box would give you.
Sizing it against your photography backdrop stand
Work out the size from the room rather than from the catalogue. Measure the wall you shoot against, take a foot off each end for the legs, and what is left is the span a frame opens to and can honestly accommodate. Height is the figure people change their mind about later: seven feet suits a seated subject, while a standing full-length shot wants the frame fully expanded so the top edge of a seamless white, muslin, black or green surface stays out of shot. Space behind the subject matters as much as space across it — stood directly against the surface, anybody picks up its texture. In a small room, give yourself a little extra at the back so an additional panel or a prop can go in without everything having to move. As a general rule, choosing one size up costs less than choosing one size down.
Getting it standing
It opens from folded in one pass, with no tools. Each telescopic section is adjustable along its length, mounting is the standard thread studio fittings use, and setup is quick enough that you assemble it after the subject has arrived rather than an hour before. Stability comes from the base rather than the column: spread the legs fully, position the feet out of the walkway, and it sits stable on a floor that is not quite flat. Anything heavy hanging on the system wants weight at the feet as well.
Clamping, hooks and the crossbar
Clamp the corners first and even out the middle afterwards — the top edge is the part that shows. Hooks along the crossbar keep the hang even, a spring clamp secures anything that moves, and one spare clamp per kit saves needing an improvised fix on a tripod or a light tube.
Travel, bag and care
The bag in the package is the one it will spend its life in: collapsible frame, small parts, extra clamps. Folded it is portable enough for a train and compact enough for a boot. Durability lives in the fittings. Aluminum alloy gives an enhanced strength for the weight, the material of the locking collars decides the rest, and the practicality of a professional design beats a powerful specification nobody uses. Quality here means the metal has not moved in a year. Care is minimal: wipe the sections, keep the clamps in the same bag, store it dry. Roll fabric rather than folding it and a wrinkle stops being something you plan around.

Good for beginners or travel to sets
Portable and quick to setup. Definitely cheap but if you are traveling with them they are light and easy. Great for a beginner who wants to learn how to use an umbrella as a modifier. Basic but gets the job done.

Greart kit
I'm happy with the product; overall, the quality is good, and there's definitely good value for your money. I would recommend it to other amateur photographers like myself without hesitation.

Bottom Line, Good for the Price
Light weight, feel a tad cheap, but the price reflected that so no complaint, they will get the job done for now until I upgrade to something better. Bottom line, good for the price.
