Where it sits in the range
Shoot-through and reflective EMART umbrellas, translucent white and black-silver, sold as single heads and as full studio sets with the light stands photography needs.
What this one is for
Shooting through a white umbrella gives broad light that wraps a subject; bouncing out of a black-backed one is more directional and keeps spill off the background. Most crews carry both and decide in the room, which is why the kits are packed as sets rather than single pieces.
Matching it to a photography backdrop stand
Choosing the size is arithmetic rather than taste. Measure the wall across, subtract roughly a foot at each end for the legs and the fittings, and you have the span the frame has to accommodate when it is fully open. Height comes next, and it is the figure that changes once a subject stands: a seated portrait is happy at seven feet, a standing one wants everything expanded so the top edge of a muslin, seamless white, black or green surface stays above the shot. Keep a step of space behind the subject rather than putting them directly against the surface. In a small room, buy a little extra width — that is where an additional panel, a light or a prop ends up living. As a general matter, one size up forgives more than one size down.
Putting it up
Setup, in order: extend each telescopic section, lock the adjustable collar, then square the base. The mounting fitting is standard, so heads and clamps from other stands assemble onto it without an adaptor, and it all happens quickly with two hands. Stability is a question of footprint. Open the legs to their stops, press the feet down, and position the base so the heaviest part of the load sits over it — weight in the right place does more for a support system than weight in total.
Clamping, hooks and the crossbar
Hang the surface a little narrower than the crossbar so it has something to pull against. A spring clamp secures each corner, hooks carry the middle, and that clamp will just as happily hold a light modifier or pin a cable to a tripod tube when the kit outgrows the room.
Carrying it and keeping it
The bag in the package is the one it will spend its life in: collapsible frame, small parts, extra clamps. Folded it is portable enough for a train and compact enough for a boot. Durability lives in the fittings. Aluminum alloy gives an enhanced strength for the weight, the material of the locking collars decides the rest, and the practicality of a professional design beats a powerful specification nobody uses. Quality here means the metal has not moved in a year. Care is minimal: wipe the sections, keep the clamps in the same bag, store it dry. Roll fabric rather than folding it and a wrinkle stops being something you plan around.

Great Value, does the Job. High quality.
Everything arrived in good condition, well packed. Assembly was very easy despite the directions being of almost no value. So strait forward that no printed directions needed. All pieces seemed to be of high quality and substantial Assembled all the pieces and took a few initial learning shots. Very favorable. I recommend this package to anyone like me getting into staged product photos. I didn’t bother to steam out the wrinkles and creases. Shouldn’t be a big deal. Update: I put the muslin backdrop in the dryer to get rid of creases. It worked. If needed, I’ll iron out any remaining wrinkles.

Everything you need in one kit!
Complete kit with everything you need for professional looking portraits. Easy set up and break down, perfect lighting equipment, and easy to transport. Great value for the price, but I do recommend getting extra clamps to tighten the backdrops to rid any creases/wrinkles from storage. This kit paid for itself after one sitting!

Great product for the price ...good quality ....... easy to assemble
Very durable but I would have to say it may not be able to hold a tremendous amount of weight or heavy theatre curtains. Although it is a photography stand I am using it at its maximum width with both a back drop and some light curtains. It serves its purpose and for the price it is great. I have not used the lighting thus far but it is a great combination for the price. The bars are strong and durable . I love how easy it is to put the stand together it is self explanatory and it is very easy to adjust great for beginners and for use as a photo backdrop or a banner set up
