We designed this one around the part of the job nobody photographs: the half hour before the first frame.
The frame is aluminium, which is the difference between a stand that travels and one that bends. The build includes a heavy-duty build and telescopic sections. Everything we list is our own; the price you see is the one on our product listing today.
Key features
- Air Cushion Design. The monopod’s telescopic tube adopts built-in air cushion design, which effectively buffers the descending speed and protects your cameras, lights, and other equipment from collision and damage during height adjustment
- Space-Saving Round Base. :Featuring a compact round base design, this stand takes up far less floor space than bulky traditional tripod light stands. It effectively effectively cutting down occupied space, keeping your shooting area neat and tidy, and fitting perfectly well in narrow corners and limited studio spaces
- Stable Photography Light Stand. :This heavy duty video light stand is made of lightweight aluminum and fitted with dual locking knobs, supporting a maximum load of 10kg/22lbs. Its sturdy iron round base weighs 4.1kg/9lbs together with bottom anti-slip rubber and felt pads, it keeps the photography equipment at any height with great anti-slip effect and prevents floor scratches effectively
- Adjustable Monopod Camera Stand. :Equipped with two screw knob adjusters, this tripod monopod allows height adjustment from 76.9 cm / 30.27 in up to 201.6 cm / 79.37 in. Its flexible height range makes it ideal for use as a floor stand in compact studios

What this one is for
Height is the specification people regret. For a seated portrait the key wants to be a little above eye level with room to angle down; for background support, match the stand to the backdrop you already own rather than the other way round.
Matching it to a photography backdrop stand
Size is a room problem before it is a shopping problem. Take the wall you shoot against, measure across it and subtract a foot at each end for the legs — the rest is what the frame can accommodate once it is open. Then decide height, because that is the figure people change their mind about the moment the subject stands up: seven feet suits seated work, full-length needs the sections fully expanded so the top edge of a white, black, green or seamless muslin surface never appears. Leave space between the subject and the surface too; stood directly against it, a face picks up every mark behind it. A small room rewards a little extra span, which is where an additional panel or a prop goes. In general, choosing one size up is the cheaper mistake.
Putting it up
It opens from folded in one pass, with no tools. Each telescopic section is adjustable along its length, mounting is the standard thread studio fittings use, and setup is quick enough that you assemble it after the subject has arrived rather than an hour before. Stability comes from the base rather than the column: spread the legs fully, position the feet out of the walkway, and it sits stable on a floor that is not quite flat. Anything heavy hanging on the system wants weight at the feet as well.
Clamps, hooks and the top edge
A spring clamp at each corner secures the top edge and hooks spread the load along the crossbar, so the surface hangs straight instead of scalloping between two points. The same clamp keeps a light cable or a tripod leg out of frame when the kit gets crowded, without needing a second pair of hands.
Carrying it and keeping it
It packs into the carry bag it arrives in — a portable, collapsible package small enough to live in a car boot between shoots, which is the only way gear gets used weekly. The quality worth paying for is boring: metal collars that still grip, a design with no part that only works while new. Aluminum keeps a pro kit portable, heavier metal makes it durable, and durability on gear like this is an argument about joints. We would rather sound dull than claim an excellent finish. Care is minimal: wipe the sections, keep the clamps in the same bag, store it dry. Roll fabric rather than folding it and a wrinkle stops being something you plan around.

Stable, Versatile Stands with Space-Saving Round Bases
These EMART stands work great and feel super stable once positioned. They're heavy but still portable. The weighted round bases provide dependable support without the wide footprint of traditional tripod legs, which is useful when floor space is limited. At up to 79 inches tall, the stands offer plenty of height adjustment for different setups. The mounting design is straightforward, making them versatile enough for compatible lights, cameras, webcams, and other production equipment. The poles and bases feel high quality and appear durable, while the substantial construction supports equipment confidently. Having two matching stands adds even more flexibility for arranging a workspace or recording setup. Considering the stability, build quality, versatility, and two-pack format, this set offers good value

Compact stand that fits in tight studio spots
Working out of a smaller home studio so floor space matters and this stand has been a good fit. The round base takes up way less room than a traditional tripod stand, fits into corners that a regular light stand never would. Holds my light and modifier without any tipping or instability. The base is heavy enough on its own to keep things planted, the anti slip rubber on the bottom keeps it from sliding even on hardwood. Air cushion adjustment is a nice touch, no sudden drops when loosening the knobs to change height. Range goes from about 30 inches up to nearly 80 which covers most setups I need, low angle product shots to standing portrait lighting. 1/4 and 3/8 thread compatibility means it works with my light, mic and camera mount without needing extra adapters most of the time. Solid stand for anyone working in a tighter space who still needs reliable height and stability.
