We keep our 6” Suction Cup Camera Mount with Ball Head Magic Arm for Insta360 in the range because most shoots need one dependable frame, not five clever ones.

We build it in metal because gear that lives in a car boot gets handled badly. The build includes a heavy-duty build and 360-degree rotation. We would rather you bought the smaller frame and used it than the big one that stays in the bag.

Key features

  • Strong Load Capacity. Our suction cup mount supports up to 11 lb (5kg) at speeds of up to 80 km/h (50 mph) in motion. For stationary use, it holds 88 lb (40 kg) horizontally and 110 lb (50 kg) vertically. Ideal for capturing road trip POV footage with cameras or cell phones.Note: Use a safety tether for added security
  • Quick Installation & Release. Push-to-Lock Vacuum Mounting enables quick attachment of the suction cup.(Press the air pump until the white marking line is invisible, which means the suction cup is firmly locked.) To detach, lift both rubber tabs at the same time for a smoother shooting setup
  • Wide Compatibility. Equipped with multiple 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes and ARRI-style locating holes, this camera car mount can securely install a magic arm, boom arm, phone clamp, action camera adapter and other accessories. It works with dashcam,DJI Osmo Pocket,Xtra Muse Action,Xtra Edge Pro,Insta360,Luna Ultra Ace Pro,GoPro Hero series and more
  • Various Surfaces Suitable. Working on a wide range of smooth, flat, nonporous surfaces,Our 6" (152.4mm) enlarged suction cup sticks securely to windshields, window glass, ceramic tiles, dashboard, motorcycle, metal panels and glass doors. Great for car filming, boat use and indoor time-lapse shots

Where it earns its place

Grip is everything between the camera and whatever it is attached to. Clamps hold backdrop fabric to a crossbar, arms hang a small light off a shelf, plates let a body come off a tripod without unscrewing anything. None of it is interesting and all of it is why a set stays where you left it.

What size EMART backdrop stand this suits

Choosing the size is arithmetic rather than taste. Measure the wall across, subtract roughly a foot at each end for the legs and the fittings, and you have the span the frame has to accommodate when it is fully open. Height comes next, and it is the figure that changes once a subject stands: a seated portrait is happy at seven feet, a standing one wants everything expanded so the top edge of a muslin, seamless white, black or green surface stays above the shot. Keep a step of space behind the subject rather than putting them directly against the surface. In a small room, buy a little extra width — that is where an additional panel, a light or a prop ends up living. As a general matter, one size up forgives more than one size down.

Setting it up

It opens from folded in one pass, with no tools. Each telescopic section is adjustable along its length, mounting is the standard thread studio fittings use, and setup is quick enough that you assemble it after the subject has arrived rather than an hour before. The legs open wide, and that width is the stability — not the thickness of the tube. Position the base so nobody kicks a foot, and add weight at the feet whenever the load is heavy or people are moving across the room behind the frame.

Clamps, hooks and the top edge

The crossbar carries the hang, the hooks spread it and a spring clamp secures the corners. Keep two spare clamps in the kit: one ends up on a light, one on a tripod tube, and neither is worth needing and not having.

Bag, case and care

It packs into the carry bag it arrives in — a portable, collapsible package small enough to live in a car boot between shoots, which is the only way gear gets used weekly. Material and durability are the same question here. Aluminum alloy is the light choice and steel the enhanced one, and the quality of a design shows in whether a section still locks after a year. Professional gear is rarely powerful; it is excellent at being predictable, which is practicality rather than polish. Care takes a minute: sections wiped, clamps back in the bag, the whole thing kept upright in a corner. A wrinkle in a surface is a storage problem rather than a fabric problem.
