We keep our 21" Magic Arm Clamp Kit with Super Clamp, 1/4" 3/8" Threads for ARRI, Flexible Camera Desk Mount, Adjustable Articulating Boom Arm for Webcam/Mic/Action Camera/Phone/Video Light in the range because most shoots need one dependable frame, not five clever ones.

We build it in aluminium alloy because gear that lives in a car boot gets handled badly. It arrives with 360-degree rotation. We would rather you bought the smaller frame and used it than the big one that stays in the bag.

Key features

  • Sturdy & Stable Magic Arm. Constructed from aluminum alloy, this desk camera mount is both solid and highly durable. With a tube diameter of 0.6 inches—thicker than most other magic arms—it can support a max load of 3.3 lbs. This boom arm is an ideal mounting accessory for overhead photography, vlogging, gaming, live streaming, video recording, Zoom calls, conferences, videography, and podcasts.
  • Articulating Arm with Ball Heads. The two-section friction arm extends to 22" (55.5 cm) and is equipped with three 360°dual-ball-head adapters. This design offers exceptional flexibility for angle and height adjustment. Simply twist the locking knobs to secure the arm, while the non-slip ball heads provide a secure grip to prevent accidental drops.
  • Anti Twist & Anti-scratch Designs. The overhead camera mount has an anti-twist pin on each mounting interface, to firmly connect the camera arm with the super clamp and the mounted device. Even the super clamp is outfitted with non slip pads, protecting your equipment from scratches while eliminating wobble during filming—a must-have for content creators and influencers.
  • Versatile Desk Clamp. The magic arm clamp features larger jaws for a more secure grip and can grip both flat surfaces and cylindrical objects. With a maximum opening of 2.4"/60mm, it securely attaches to various items like desks, tripods, selfie sticks, light stands, shoulder rigs, bicycle/motorcycle handlebars, and poles. Additional mounting holes enhance compatibility for versatile use.
  • Widely Application. (1) Standard 1/4" screw on both ends of phone desk mount is suitable for LED video Light, Microphone, Smartphone, webcam, action camera and other accessories with 1/4" screw hole (2) Phone mount holder compatible with phones ranging from 2.6"-3.3" in width (3) 1/4" to 3/8" screw adapter can be connected to a various types of microphone.

The job it does

The small metal is what decides whether a photography backdrop stand behaves. Spring clamps at the corners, hooks spread along the bar, sandbags at the feet, the right fitting between two threads — buy the frame without them and you arrive on location unable to hang anything.

What size EMART backdrop stand this suits

Work out the size from the room rather than from the catalogue. Measure the wall you shoot against, take a foot off each end for the legs, and what is left is the span a frame opens to and can honestly accommodate. Height is the figure people change their mind about later: seven feet suits a seated subject, while a standing full-length shot wants the frame fully expanded so the top edge of a seamless white, muslin, black or green surface stays out of shot. Space behind the subject matters as much as space across it — stood directly against the surface, anybody picks up its texture. In a small room, give yourself a little extra at the back so an additional panel or a prop can go in without everything having to move. As a general rule, choosing one size up costs less than choosing one size down.

Getting it standing

It opens from folded in one pass, with no tools. Each telescopic section is adjustable along its length, mounting is the standard thread studio fittings use, and setup is quick enough that you assemble it after the subject has arrived rather than an hour before. Stability is a question of footprint. Open the legs to their stops, press the feet down, and position the base so the heaviest part of the load sits over it — weight in the right place does more for a support system than weight in total.

Hanging it and holding it steady

Clamp the corners first and even out the middle afterwards — the top edge is the part that shows. Hooks along the crossbar keep the hang even, a spring clamp secures anything that moves, and one spare clamp per kit saves needing an improvised fix on a tripod or a light tube.

Travel, bag and care

It packs into the carry bag it arrives in — a portable, collapsible package small enough to live in a car boot between shoots, which is the only way gear gets used weekly. Material and durability are the same question here. Aluminum alloy is the light choice and steel the enhanced one, and the quality of a design shows in whether a section still locks after a year. Professional gear is rarely powerful; it is excellent at being predictable, which is practicality rather than polish. Care is minimal: wipe the sections, keep the clamps in the same bag, store it dry. Roll fabric rather than folding it and a wrinkle stops being something you plan around.
