We designed this one around the part of the job nobody photographs: the half hour before the first frame. At full extension the top of the column stands 10ft, which keeps the hem off the floor in a small room.

The frame is metal, which is the difference between a stand that travels and one that bends. It arrives with a heavy-duty build and telescopic sections. Specifications here are read straight off our own listing — no rounding, no best case.

Key features

  • Upgraded Heavy Metal Base. Our background stand is made of solid heavy iron, with a powerful load capacity of 16 pounds. The base area is widened and thickened, which is more stable than similar products on the market, and suitable for different kinds of backdrops.
  • Thickened Pipe Diameter. Our banner stand features a thicker pipe diameter for enhanced stability, it has super strong load-bearing capacity, strong wind resistance, and is not easy to bend.
  • Adjustable Size. : The telescopic banner stand is suitable for multiple size, with height adjust from 3.4 ft to 10 ft and width adjust from 6.2 ft to 10 ft, the maximum visible graphic size is 10 ft wide x 10 ft high
  • Rotary Locking Design. Differ from the common knob design, the rod itself is used for rotation reinforcement; The surface of the rod body can be kept smooth without protrusion.
  • Multiple Application Scenes. Suitable for meetings, photo exhibitions, local exhibitions, store promotions, photo booth backgrounds, etc.

Where it sits in the range

Every EMART set starts with the same question: what is holding the background up? These are our photography backdrop stands — single crossbar, double, triple, T-shape and full pipe and drape — sized by the width of background they carry.

What this one is for

This is a support system first and a photography accessory second. Hang a muslin, a white sweep, a black drape or a green chroma panel across the crossbar and the frame does not care which. What it cares about is the span, the working height and the weight at the legs — the three figures that decide whether a background stand is the right size for your room.

Matching it to a photography backdrop stand

Size is a room problem before it is a shopping problem. Take the wall you shoot against, measure across it and subtract a foot at each end for the legs — the rest is what the frame can accommodate once it is open. Then decide height, because that is the figure people change their mind about the moment the subject stands up: seven feet suits seated work, full-length needs the sections fully expanded so the top edge of a white, black, green or seamless muslin surface never appears. Leave space between the subject and the surface too; stood directly against it, a face picks up every mark behind it. A small room rewards a little extra span, which is where an additional panel or a prop goes. In general, choosing one size up is the cheaper mistake.

Putting it up

It opens from folded in one pass, with no tools. Each telescopic section is adjustable along its length, mounting is the standard thread studio fittings use, and setup is quick enough that you assemble it after the subject has arrived rather than an hour before. The legs open wide, and that width is the stability — not the thickness of the tube. Position the base so nobody kicks a foot, and add weight at the feet whenever the load is heavy or people are moving across the room behind the frame.

Clamping, hooks and the crossbar

Clamp the corners first and even out the middle afterwards — the top edge is the part that shows. Hooks along the crossbar keep the hang even, a spring clamp secures anything that moves, and one spare clamp per kit saves needing an improvised fix on a tripod or a light tube.

Carrying it and keeping it

Folded, it is compact enough to transport as one piece: the carry bag in the package takes the whole collapsible set, so no extra sections travel loose. Durability lives in the fittings. Aluminum alloy gives an enhanced strength for the weight, the material of the locking collars decides the rest, and the practicality of a professional design beats a powerful specification nobody uses. Quality here means the metal has not moved in a year. Keep it dry and the care budget is a cloth. Grit in a joint wears a section faster than rain does; a rolled surface arrives without a wrinkle, a folded one arrives with a map of itself.
