This is our answer for the setup that has to go up, hold still and come down the same evening. 8.5ft of height at the top of the travel gives you slack to raise the whole background once the subject sits down.
It arrives with telescopic sections, a folding frame, a portable format and a carry bag. Specifications here are read straight off our own listing — no rounding, no best case.
Key features
- Foldable Space-Saving Flat Base - This back drop stand with cross shaped foldable flat base, low profile and unobtrusive, won't ruin the overall appearance of your background decoration. Unlike ordinary tripod stands, it prevents tripping accidents. After use, it can be folded for storage
- Stability Guaranteed - equipped with a water bag, fill it with water to add weight to heavy the base and increase the stability of backdrop stand, and pre-drilled ground stake holes for securing the stand on grassy areas against the breeze
- Height and Width Freedom - Adjust height (from 2.6ft to 8.5ft) with knobs and width (from 5.3ft to 10ft) with telescopic crossbars. Spring-loaded pins make assembly tool-free, fitting most spaces for support backdrops, banner, flower wall, drapes
- Rust and Scratch Resistant Surface - The hammer texture combined with black spray painting enhances the durability, making it rust-proof and scratch-resistant for both indoor and outdoor use, ensuring long-lasting good looks without unsightly marks

Where it sits in the range
Every EMART set starts with the same question: what is holding the background up? These are our photography backdrop stands — single crossbar, double, triple, T-shape and full pipe and drape — sized by the width of background they carry.
What this one is for
This is a support system first and a photography accessory second. Hang a muslin, a white sweep, a black drape or a green chroma panel across the crossbar and the frame does not care which. What it cares about is the span, the working height and the weight at the legs — the three figures that decide whether a background stand is the right size for your room.
Matching it to a photography backdrop stand
Size is a room problem before it is a shopping problem. Take the wall you shoot against, measure across it and subtract a foot at each end for the legs — the rest is what the frame can accommodate once it is open. Then decide height, because that is the figure people change their mind about the moment the subject stands up: seven feet suits seated work, full-length needs the sections fully expanded so the top edge of a white, black, green or seamless muslin surface never appears. Leave space between the subject and the surface too; stood directly against it, a face picks up every mark behind it. A small room rewards a little extra span, which is where an additional panel or a prop goes. In general, choosing one size up is the cheaper mistake.
Putting it up
Setup is hands only. The sections are telescopic, so you assemble it by pulling up and locking rather than by counting parts, and the adjustable collars let you stop anywhere between the stops. Mounting uses the standard fitting for this type of gear, so it mates with what is already in your bag, and it goes up quickly enough to do alone. A wide base is what keeps the support system stable when somebody walks behind the subject. Position two legs under the load, keep the third foot clear of the walkway, and hang anything heavy low rather than at full height.
Hanging it and holding it steady
Clamp the corners first and even out the middle afterwards — the top edge is the part that shows. Hooks along the crossbar keep the hang even, a spring clamp secures anything that moves, and one spare clamp per kit saves needing an improvised fix on a tripod or a light tube.
Carrying it and keeping it
The bag in the package is the one it will spend its life in: collapsible frame, small parts, extra clamps. Folded it is portable enough for a train and compact enough for a boot. Durability lives in the fittings. Aluminum alloy gives an enhanced strength for the weight, the material of the locking collars decides the rest, and the practicality of a professional design beats a powerful specification nobody uses. Quality here means the metal has not moved in a year. Wipe the metal down after an outdoor event, keep the small parts together, and store it standing rather than flat under something heavier. Fabric care is one rule: rolled, not folded — a wrinkle photographs.
