This is our answer for the setup that has to go up, hold still and come down the same evening. At full extension the top of the column stands 7ft, which keeps the hem off the floor in a small room.
You also get telescopic sections, a folding frame, a portable format and a carry bag. If a size is missing from this page, it is because we do not make it, not because it sold out.
Key features
- Foldable Space-Saving Flat Base - This back drop stand with cross shaped foldable flat base, low profile and unobtrusive, won't ruin the overall appearance of your background decoration. Unlike ordinary tripod stands, it prevents tripping accidents. After use, it can be folded for storage
- Stability Guaranteed - equipped with a water bag, fill it with water to add weight to heavy the base and increase the stability of backdrop stand, and pre-drilled ground stake holes for securing the stand on grassy areas against the breeze
- Height and Width Freedom - Adjust height (from 2.6ft to 7ft) with knobs and width (from 5.3ft to 10ft) with telescopic crossbars. Spring-loaded pins make assembly tool-free, fitting most spaces for support backdrops, banner, flower wall, drapes

Where it sits in the range
Every EMART set starts with the same question: what is holding the background up? These are our photography backdrop stands — single crossbar, double, triple, T-shape and full pipe and drape — sized by the width of background they carry.
The job it does
A photography backdrop stand earns its keep by being boring. The frame goes up, the background hangs straight and nothing else in the room has to move. The same support stand serves portraits, seated interviews, pet photography and a photo booth at a wedding, because the job does not change: a clean surface behind the subject that stays where you put it.
Sizing it against your photography backdrop stand
Choosing the size is arithmetic rather than taste. Measure the wall across, subtract roughly a foot at each end for the legs and the fittings, and you have the span the frame has to accommodate when it is fully open. Height comes next, and it is the figure that changes once a subject stands: a seated portrait is happy at seven feet, a standing one wants everything expanded so the top edge of a muslin, seamless white, black or green surface stays above the shot. Keep a step of space behind the subject rather than putting them directly against the surface. In a small room, buy a little extra width — that is where an additional panel, a light or a prop ends up living. As a general matter, one size up forgives more than one size down.
Getting it standing
Assembly is quick and standard. Pull each telescopic section up by hand, lock the adjustable collar, square the base. The mounting threads are the usual size for this kind of gear, so a fitting borrowed from another stand will do, and the whole setup takes one pair of hands. A wide base is what keeps the support system stable when somebody walks behind the subject. Position two legs under the load, keep the third foot clear of the walkway, and hang anything heavy low rather than at full height.
Hanging it and holding it steady
The crossbar carries the hang, the hooks spread it and a spring clamp secures the corners. Keep two spare clamps in the kit: one ends up on a light, one on a tripod tube, and neither is worth needing and not having.
Travel, bag and care
The bag in the package is the one it will spend its life in: collapsible frame, small parts, extra clamps. Folded it is portable enough for a train and compact enough for a boot. Aluminium alloy keeps the weight sensible; the metal that decides durability sits in the locks and the joints, not the finish. The design is pro in the only sense that matters — practicality over appearance — and the material trade is plain: aluminum travels, steel survives. Keep it dry and the care budget is a cloth. Grit in a joint wears a section faster than rain does; a rolled surface arrives without a wrinkle, a folded one arrives with a map of itself.
